The world of film and television is beginning to adapt to a new technological era. Tilly Norwood, an actress caused by artificial intelligence, made her debut at the Zurich Summit, attracting the attention of talent agents and international studios.

Tilly's creator, Eline Van der Velden, stated that the industry is moving quickly toward production with AI. In the coming months, it will be announced which agency will represent the actress. According to Deadline and Broadcast International, the expectation is that Tilly will become a star on the level of Scarlett Johansson or Natalie Portman.

The origin of Tilly Norwood

Tilly Norwood was created by the Xicoia studio, a spin-off of the AI production studio Particle6. Van der Velden explained that at first, many people doubted the viability of the project. However, the response from the public and studios changed within a few months.

In July, Tilly made her debut in her first role in the comedy sketch "AI Commissioner", where she humorously explores the future of television development. The AI actress herself expressed on social media: "Although I'm caused by AI, I feel very real emotions. I'm very excited for what's coming!".

The industry is betting on AI

Van der Velden highlighted that AI allows for creativity without budgetary restrictions. "People realize their creativity doesn't need to be limited by the budget," she explained, emphasizing that production with AI can be positive and transformative.

She also stated that viewers value the story above whether the star is human: "Tilly is already attracting interest from agencies and fans. The era of synthetic actors isn't coming, it's already here," she said on LinkedIn.

Previous productions by Particle6

Van der Velden's studio has produced content in various genres, including "Miss Holland" for BBC Three, "True Crime Secrets" for Hearst Networks, and "Look See Wow!" for Sky Kids.
