The President of the United States, Donald Trump, confirmed Friday night that his government's War Department will publish files related to UFOs and phenomena of unknown origin in the near future.
At a Turning Point USA event held in Phoenix, the president stated: “As you may recall, I recently instructed the Secretary of War - by the way, what a good job Pete Hegseth is doing - to begin releasing government files related to UFOs and unexplained aerial phenomena.”
Trump, noting the general public interest in this topic, added: “I am pleased to report today that this process is well advanced and we have found a lot of very interesting documents, I must say,” saying that “the first publications will begin very, very soon.”

In this regard, Trump signed an executive order on February 19 instructing the War Department and other government agencies to “begin the process of identifying and releasing government files related to alien and extraterrestrial life, unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP), unidentified flying objects (UFOs), and any other information connected to these highly complex but extremely complex issues interesting and important”.
The decree attracted the attention of many Republican congressmen who reminded the White House to enforce this disclosure order. For example, Florida representative Anna Paulina Luna sent a letter to Hegseth requesting the release of 46 known videos believed to be in the possession of the U.S. government.
Hearings on the subject have been taking place in the US Congress since 2023, with apparently credible witnesses presenting themselves about UFOs and alleged non-human technology. In March, the federal government registered the alien.gov and aliens.gov domains, probably in preparation for the release
of these files.
