Tito Asfura denounced a possible fraud in Honduras: 'Democracy is in danger'
The official indicates that the electoral process on November 30 is under threat
Tito Asfura, presidential candidate and one of the main figures of the Honduran opposition , issued a strong warning about the direction the country is taking under the LIBRE government. Through a forceful message, he denounced that democracy and freedoms are being undermined by an increasingly evident alliance between the ruling party and sectors of the Liberal Party.
"The decision of the Liberal advisor in the CNE confirms that a sector of the Liberal Party has always been part of LIBRE's roots," Asfura stated. He emphasized that, far from correcting course, those leaders "have neither been able nor willing to separate themselves" from a political project that tramples on republican principles and the rights of Hondurans.
Electoral manipulation denounced: "The country is not a toy"
Asfura's message leaves no room for doubt: the November 30 electoral process is under threat. From the ruling party, maneuvers are being woven to capture the electoral system, distort democracy, and turn Honduras into a tool serving family and partisan interests.
"The country is not a toy, nor is its democracy for family interests, for a politician or a party," Asfura asserted, making a clear allusion to the influence of the Zelaya-Castro family in government decisions.
With an urgent tone, he called not to wait any longer: "It's now or never!" he wrote, urging all Hondurans committed to freedom to stand up and confront the authoritarian advance.

"Firm for Honduras": opposition leadership grows stronger
Far from passivity, Asfura led a new cry of democratic resistance: "Firm for Honduras!" With that slogan, he is consolidating himself as the leader of a broad front seeking to halt institutional deterioration and set a limit to the totalitarian ambitions of the LIBRE regime.
In a context marked by social distrust toward bodies controlled by the ruling party, such as the National Electoral Council, Asfura's call gains more strength. This is not just about defending an electoral process: it's about saving Honduran democracy from the socialist hijacking that threatens it today.
