The incident occurred at Leavesden Studios in Watford, England. Holland was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, where he received specialized care.
A woman, reportedly the actor's stunt double, was also hospitalized after the accident. Filming was put on hold and could be delayed for several weeks.

Dominic Holland, the actor's father, confirmed that Tom "will be away from filming for a while." The accident happened while the actor was attending a charity event with Zendaya, who was accompanying him on set.
