Tomás Dente caused a stir by announcing his resignation from APTRA through his official X account. In an interview with Entrometidos (Net TV), he explained the reasons behind his decision with a forceful and unfiltered statement against the television industry.
The journalist stated that his departure is a matter of principle. He also strongly criticized the way the association that organizes the Martín Fierro operates. His statements did not go unnoticed and quickly went viral on social media.

"I feel that my professional worth doesn't lie in being a member of APTRA, in having 20 jobs, in being nominated or having followers; that's mercantilism," Dente said. He also targeted the entertainment industry: "I don't go to events because I'm tired of this self-centered machine that is the media."
The host explained that he doesn't identify with the people who make up APTRA. "APTRA did not add anything to me. I'm leaving a vacant spot and I'm happy to do so. I don't believe in its credibility,".
Then, he delivered his sharpest remark: "I see colleagues desperate to take pictures with Susana or with Mirtha. APTRA is full of flatterers, sycophants, and star-chasers. If they think that makes them more important, I leave my place so they can be happy."

The journalist also commented on the conflict between Yanina Latorre and Pampita, and questioned the way the media handles certain topics. "We return to the double standard. Friends from Yanina's show went after Pampita, but not Mariana Fabbiani, who is the owner of the production company," he pointed out.
In that regard, he recalled the old conflicts between Julieta Prandi and Fabbiani. "If you're going to go after those who have a history, go after Mariana too. Don't just expose Pampita,".
