Trump's administration is preparing the largest military parade in decades in Washington, DC.

It will feature the participation of nearly 7,000 soldiers and will include an impressive display of armored vehicles

In less than two weeks, the President of the United States, Donald Trump, will hold a mega military parade on the streets of Washington DC for the 250th anniversary of the Army, which will feature numerous soldiers, combat vehicles, and war tanks.

This military parade, the most impressive organized in the city in decades, will bring with it approximately seven million pounds in vehicles and weaponry, with an estimated cost that could reach tens of millions of dollars. To prepare the ground, the U.S. Army has already begun reinforcing the roads where the heavy military equipment will pass.

The military parade, scheduled for June 14, which is also Trump's birthday, will feature the participation of nearly 7,000 soldiers and will include an impressive display of M1-A1 Abrams tanks, Bradley and Stryker combat vehicles, as well as howitzers and other types of artillery, according to reports.

Most of the military equipment is being transported from Fort Cavazos, Texas, to Maryland, where it will arrive by train at the Jessup station at the beginning of next week. From there, the vehicles will be loaded onto flatbed trucks and taken to the U.S. capital.

Aware of the possible damage to urban infrastructure, the Army Corps of Engineers has implemented various protective measures, in coordination with local agencies and DC public utility companies. These preventive actions have already required more than 3 million dollars, and the total cost of the event is estimated to reach 45 million.

Among the strategies to prevent street deterioration are the placement of steel plates at key points, especially on tight turns, the use of pads on vehicles to reduce pressure on the asphalt, and the restriction of tank speed, which will move slowly during the parade.

Colonel Jesse Curry, director of the Office of the Chief of Engineers, explained that all necessary precautions have been taken. "Our technical assessment indicates that the risk of damage to the underlying layers of the streets is minimal," he stated, and added: "We have the best engineers in the world."

Currently, the Army is placing metal plates at a dozen points along the planned route and is installing special mats in a preparation area located in West Potomac Park, near the National Mall, where the Abrams tanks will be prepared before advancing along Constitution Avenue.

With this parade, President Trump seeks to send a signal of strength and showcase the U.S. military arsenal to other world powers. The commemoration of the Army's 250th anniversary had been two years in preparation, according to military authorities.

However, the inclusion of a parade was an initiative promoted by the White House under Donald Trump's presidency, which meant that part of the event only began to be planned two months ago.
