The Republican's immigration policy is proving to be a complete success, which has resulted in more than 1.6 million undocumented immigrants being deported so far during his term

According to the latest data from the United States Census Bureau, Donald Trump is expelling illegal immigrants from the country at record speed, to such an extent that the migration data collected shows an unprecedented drop in the number of undocumented individuals living on American soil.

Between January and July, it was recorded that 2.2 million foreign-born people left the United States, and most of that reduction—1.6 million—were illegal immigrants, according to figures confirmed by the Center for Immigration Studies.

This is an almost unimaginable shift compared to the Biden years, when illegal immigrants were entering the country at a rate never seen before, with a net average of 120,000 new people each month. In the last six months, the undocumented population has decreased at a rate close to 270,000 per month, which is more than double the rate of increase recorded during the Democratic era.

The total U.S. population could decrease for the first time since 1930.

"The best evidence we have is that the illegal population is now falling at a rate that even surpasses the massive growth we had in the four years of Biden," said Steven Camarota, director of that organization for immigration studies.

According to the monthly report from the Census Bureau, in January the total foreign-born population residing in the U.S. was 53.3 million, the highest level in history, both in absolute numbers and as a percentage. But last month, that number dropped to less than 51.1 million.

Camarota estimates that the population of illegal immigrants rose from 10.2 million at the start of Biden's term to 15.8 million in January, then fell to 14.2 million currently. If this trend continues for the rest of the year, the total population of the United States could decrease for the first time since the 1930s.

Illegal immigrants are self-deporting.

To fix the migration disaster inherited from Biden, the Trump administration, since arriving at the White House, is increasing the number of arrests and deportations and has heavily invested in mechanisms to encourage illegal immigrants to leave the country voluntarily.

The Secretary of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem, said last week that foreign leaders have informed her they are seeing a surge of people voluntarily returning to their countries of origin after leaving U.S. territory for the first time in a long time.

Regarding this data, the aforementioned Camarota explained that it is most likely that this represents a saving for taxpayers and a reduction in pressure on schools, hospitals, and other services. Meanwhile, job opportunities are opening up for Americans.
