The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has once again hardened his stance against the Iranian regime, calling the response sent by Tehran during negotiations to try to end the conflict in the Middle East “totally unacceptable.”
The message was posted on Truth Social just hours after Washington formally received the Iranian proposal transmitted through Pakistan, a country acting as a mediator between both parties.
“I just read the response from the so-called ‘representatives’ of Iran. I don’t like it. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!” Trump wrote.
Trump maintains pressure on Iran
The president's reaction made it clear that the White House is not willing to accept conditions imposed by the Islamic regime while tensions continue in the Strait of Hormuz and threats against U.S. allies in the region persist.

Although Trump did not publicly detail which specific points were rejected, Iranian media reported that Tehran demanded:
The immediate lifting of the U.S. naval blockade
The end of military operations
The removal of economic sanctions
Guarantees that there will be no new attacks against Iran
Additionally, the Iranian regime reportedly requested to discuss the future of its nuclear program on its own terms.
U.S. does not want to repeat past mistakes
Hours before rejecting the proposal, Trump had already posted an extensive message harshly criticizing the foreign policy of previous administrations towards Iran.
The president specifically targeted Barack Obama, accusing him of having economically and politically strengthened the Iranian regime.
“Iran has been laughing at our country for 47 years. But they will no longer laugh,” Trump stated.
The Republican administration maintains that the maximum pressure strategy is the only effective way to contain the Islamic regime and prevent it from continuing to finance terrorism and developing nuclear capabilities.
The conflict remains extremely fragile
Although the ceasefire is technically still in effect, the situation in the Middle East remains under maximum tension.
