Uber informed its drivers in Córdoba that it is reviewing the current regulations to define the necessary steps within the Municipal Digital Registry. The notice became known through an internal communication distributed via the application, which confirmed the intention to move forward in accordance with official deadlines. The notification represents the first concrete sign that the platform could join the regulatory framework established by the current ordinance.
The internal message emerged days after the municipality published the regulatory decree that launched the digital system for apps. The official schedule sets November 25 as the deadline for companies to complete their registration. The company clarified that it will continue analyzing the requirements and will update information for its drivers when there are defined developments.
In the communication sent to collaborating users, Uber stated that "our goal is for everyone who wants to drive to be able to do so," and reiterated that it is studying the local regulations. The message detailed that the analysis includes verifying every aspect provided for by the recently published municipal regulations. The company also emphasized that it will maintain ongoing contact with drivers as the implementation process progresses.

Requirements and procedures to operate legally
The platform shared the main points established for drivers seeking to join the transportation system regulated by the city. Among the mandatory requirements are national and provincial criminal background certificates requested by the municipality to ensure prior evaluations. It is also required to undergo the Vehicle Technical Inspection every six months as a condition for authorizing the use of the vehicle.
Another key point is the obligation to have the professional Class D1 license intended for passenger transport, as provided in the municipal ordinance. Uber shared the link to begin the license process and reminded that there is a 120-day period from the effective date of the regulations. It indicated that users with B1 or B2 licenses may defer obtaining the D1 according to the criteria allowed by the current regulations.
The company specified that during the adaptation period, drivers may submit the provincial background certificate later if they already have the national certificate. The statement reiterated that all stages of the registration will be communicated in the application to ensure timely updates of the overall process. Internal messages emphasize that Uber will notify every relevant regulatory change during the implementation of the new regulatory framework.
Cabify fue la primera plataforma en completar la inscripción
Cabify's progress and the technical adaptation of other local platforms
Meanwhile, as Uber continues in the review stage, Cabify became the first application to formally begin the registration process with the municipality. The company completed the document submission in the early hours of Monday after the system opened exclusively for service provider companies. From Palacio 6 de Julio, it was confirmed that the documentation was submitted correctly and is currently in the validation process.
Municipal sources indicated that Cabify met all the requirements set forth by the ordinance, becoming the first application to move toward formal authorization. Validation still depends on internal administrative controls that verify the consistency of the information submitted by the company. If the process is approved, Cabify will be the first platform to operate under the current legal framework for digital transportation services in the city.
In parallel, Global Visum is working on updating its technological system to adapt to the requirements of the digital registry established by the municipality. The company, which develops tools for taxis and remises together with the Rapi Taxi central, estimates that the platform will be ready in about fifteen days. On Tuesday, Transmitaxi also joined, announcing that it will adjust its own system to comply with the technical standards of the new regulations.
