Unemployed, ultrakirchnerist, and with a criminal record: this is the man who was arrested for threatening Milei with death

A 37-year-old man was arrested this Wednesday in the Buenos Aires district of Quilmes, accused of having spread death threats against President Javier Milei through a video posted on TikTok. The operation was carried out by agents from the Anti-Terrorism Investigation Unit (DUIA) of the Argentine Federal Police (PFA), following an investigation that allowed them to identify the suspect and track his activity on social media.

The detainee, identified by his initials E.A.M., came under the scrutiny of the Justice system after the dissemination of a video in which he made threats against the national leader. During the investigation, the authorities also detected intense activity on various digital platforms, where he posted messages directed at both political leaders and entertainment figures.

Sources in the case indicated that the man has a criminal record for armed robbery, resisting authority, assault, and firearm abuse. Additionally, he had served a three-year prison sentence for various offenses.

One of the aspects that caught the investigators' attention was the content of his social media posts. The suspect managed at least two Instagram accounts and two Facebook accounts, where he shared videos, photographs, and lengthy messages in which he referred to himself by the nickname "General Mafia", a name he even had tattooed on the upper part of his chest.

The Striking Obsession with Vicky Xipolitakis

During the analysis of his profiles, investigators found numerous posts dedicated to the media personality Vicky Xipolitakis, who was repeatedly mentioned in his videos and messages.

In one of the recordings shared on his networks, the detainee addressed the host directly with a speech full of insults and unfounded claims.

"Vicky, you are just a simple girl who has no brains, you are nobody. I am the king of women; you will not have me. Thanks to me, you are where you are. I revived your life, the job 30 million times, goodbye," he expressed in front of the camera.

Investigators also detected references to the media personality in some of the tattoos he displayed in various photographs, which reinforced the hypothesis of a persistent fixation on the public figure.

How the Investigation Progressed

The case was initiated after the viralization of the video with threats directed at the President. Through various digital intelligence tasks, the Federal Police managed to reconstruct the accused's activity on social media, identify his profiles, and establish his residence in Quilmes.

With these elements, the Justice system ordered a search warrant that culminated in his arrest. During the operation, various electronic devices were also seized, which will now be subjected to expert analysis to determine if there are new posts or items of interest for the investigation.

This is not the first time that threats of this kind have been recorded against Javier Milei. Throughout 2024, similar episodes had also occurred, resulting in arrests after investigations conducted by federal forces.
