The United States released images on Monday of its live-fire military exercises in the Caribbean Sea, as part of the offensive launched by President Donald Trump against international narcoterrorism.
The official Pentagon statement emphasized that the central objective of the exercises is to demonstrate "precision and readiness," within the security strategy promoted by Donald Trump's administration.
Additionally, the text specified that the aircraft "are training with the USS Iwo Jima Amphibious Readiness Group," in joint operations that integrate air and naval forces.
The statement added that "U.S. military forces are deployed in support of the Southern Command mission, operations led by the Department of Defense, and priorities established by President Donald Trump."
The operation is part of a reinforced U.S. military presence in the Caribbean, whose purpose is to maintain control over routes used by drug trafficking and respond to threats identified by Washington. This strategy seeks to guarantee stability in the region and reaffirm North American leadership in the face of the advance of organized crime and the regimes that support it.
New attack on a narco vessel
President Donald Trump announced on Sunday that the United States attacked a new narco boat in the Caribbean Sea, as part of the military offensive against narcoterrorism. "There are no more boats in the water, I can't find any. We're having trouble finding them," the president said when questioned by the press.

Trump added that the operations have produced forceful effects on organized crime routes, and defended the moral character of the offensive. "Each of those boats is responsible for the death of 25,000 Americans and the destruction of families. So when you think about it that way, what we're doing is an act of kindness," he stated.
Before Trump's intervention, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth defended the operations in the Caribbean. In an interview with Fox News, he was categorical: "If you're in the Caribbean, if you're north of Venezuela and you intend to traffic drugs to the United States, you're a legitimate target."
The official explained that the actions are based on precise intelligence information and executed under strict protocols.

"In each of these attacks, we know where they come from, we know who they work for, we know where they're going, we know what they're transporting, we know how many people are on that boat. That's why these are legitimate and clean attacks in defense of the homeland. We hope these actions will deter those foreign terrorist organizations from doing so, because the American people deserve to be defended," he emphasized.
Meanwhile, Secretary of State Marco Rubio supported the actions and highlighted the precision of the joint work between the Pentagon and the intelligence services. He stated that the forces know their targets and called for "common sense" from those who question the tactic.
With this military deployment, the United States seeks to send a forceful message: the Caribbean will not be a free zone for organized crime nor a refuge for governments that support it. In a global context where authoritarian powers are trying to expand their influence, the Trump administration reinforces its role as a guarantor of stability and defender of the West.
