VUPRA: this is how the system for paying car fines and taxes online will work
The VUPRA platform will allow users to pay for procedures, taxes, and car fines in one place starting in November
The Ministry of Justice launched the Single Window for Automotive Registry Payment (VUPRA), a digital tool that unifies the payment of procedures, taxes, and fines related to vehicles.
According to La Nación, the system will begin operating on November 1, 2025 and aims to simplify procedures, provide greater transparency, and speed up citizen service.

What procedures and payments will be possible with VUPRA?
With the new platform, it will be possible to pay for:
- Fees of the Sectional Registries of Automotive Property.
- Taxes and rates for registration and transfer of ownership.
- Stamp Tax in purchase-sale transactions.
- Traffic fines in national or local jurisdictions.
The system will also allow users to check outstanding debts, making it easier to monitor and regularize situations before carrying out any registry procedure.

Advantages of the new system
The Ministry of Justice emphasized that VUPRA will reduce the need to access multiple platforms to make payments, providing clarity and efficiency. It will also help verify debts immediately and speed up the collection of fees.
According to Clarín, the system aims to improve digital management and modernize processes that until now required in-person payments or payments scattered across different entities.

Implementation and scope
The National Directorate of the National Registries of Automotive Property and Pledged Credits will be responsible for implementing the system and issuing supplementary regulations for its operation.
Provinces, municipalities, and the City of Buenos Aires were invited to join. To do so, they must cover the implementation costs and ensure interoperability with their local systems.
A key change in automotive procedures
The resolution also repealed the 1986 regulation that allowed Sectional Registries to accept cash payments. This way, everything is centralized in a unified digital platform for automotive payments and inquiries.
