ANMAT banned several Swell products due to lack of registration, inconsistent labels, and irregular distribution

The ANMAT ordered the prohibition of use and distribution of a series of cleaning products from the Swell brand, manufactured by Grupo Jac. The measure was made official this Wednesday in the Official Gazette after an inspection revealed multiple regulatory violations.
According to provision 9039/2025, the agency found unregistered items, inconsistent labels, and commercial circulation between jurisdictions despite current prohibitions. The case raised alarms due to its scope and the variety of products involved.

Inspection and failures detected at Grupo Jac S.A.'s plant
During the verification of Good Manufacturing Practices at the plant located in Malvinas Argentinas, ANMAT confirmed the existence of unregistered products. In addition, it found others whose labels did not match the approved versions.
Among them, cleaners, degreasers, fabric softeners, bleach, and chlorinated gels were identified with divergent RNE, RNPUD in process, or incomplete data without documentary support. The information provided did not match the official records.
Active production and circulation between jurisdictions
The Household Products Service verified that the company was producing and packaging bleach and fabric softener at the time of the inspection, which confirmed ongoing activity.

In addition, interjurisdictional transit was detected through sales delivery notes, which shows commercial circulation despite previous irregularities. Some batches showed recent manufacturing and expiration dates, indicating that they were active in the market.

Neutral degreasing disinfectant cleaner

Concentrated chlorine
Bleach
Multi-purpose degreaser

Swell concentrated detergent
The product Splash Col Swell is also included, whose labels differ from those approved and do not include the mandatory precautionary statement.
