The protagonist of 'Café con aroma de mujer,' in a state of intoxication, was involved in multiple disturbances
William Levy was recently detained in the United States and is expected to face trial in the coming days. The heartthrob of "Café con aroma de mujer" recognized for his leading role in the successful telenovela, was arrested last Monday, April 14, in the city of Weston, in southern Florida, United States.
According to legal documents obtained by Telemundo, the Cuban-American actor faces at least two charges, "disorderly intoxication" and "causing a disturbance in a public place." According to the outlet's information, the events took place the day before the announcement of his detention, although the news was officially confirmed just a few hours ago.

At 44 years old and with a solid career in the world of telenovelas, Levy was a central figure in productions like Sortilegio, Montecristo, Vuelve a mí, and Cuidado con el ángel. His detention surprised his fans and caused a strong impact on social media, where the topic quickly became trending.
According to public records, the actor was accused of allegedly being drunk in a public place and having caused multiple disturbances such as a physical fight. Additionally, he faces charges for having entered a private property without authorization, which aggravates his legal situation, as an additional charge of occupied property trespassing was added.

So far, no bail has been set, so Levy remains in custody while awaiting his trial date to clarify what happened. His legal representatives have not issued official statements, and he has not spoken on his personal social media, where he usually shares moments of his professional and family life. His last post was made on March 11 of this year, approximately four weeks ago.
This recent episode adds to a series of previous situations related to domestic problems between the actor and his ex-partner, Elizabeth Gutiérrez. Authorities have been called at least four times to the house they shared in Southwest Ranches, a locality near Fort Lauderdale.
In one of the incidents, which occurred in April 2024, Gutiérrez reported that Levy pushed their daughter during an argument. The tense moment was captured by the body cameras of the officers who intervened.
