Window washers detained and street fights: the daily chaos at Córdoba's street corners

It happened at Colón and Zípoli. He was arrested after being filmed fighting with another man. The area is a constant hotspot for disturbances

A 38-year-old window washer was arrested in the early hours of Saturday at Colón Avenue and Domingo Zípoli, in Córdoba capital. The man was captured by 911 cameras while engaging in a violent physical fight with another individual in the middle of the public road.

This is a scene that, far from being surprising, once again highlights the lack of control on the main avenues.

The police intervention occurred after the 911 alert

The incident took place after 1 a.m. and was recorded by the video surveillance system of the Córdoba Police. The video shows how both men argue, struggle, and hit each other in the middle of the street while vehicles are passing by.

Minutes later, the Police managed to subdue the window washer, who was taken to a judicial facility and was placed at the disposal of the justice system.

The intersection of Colón and Zípoli is one of many locations where residents and drivers report similar situations daily. From extortion for the "cleaning" service to threats, assaults, or arguments among window washers over territory.

Despite multiple complaints, the area continues to be a hotspot of urban disorder and scarce preventive presence.

Growing complaints: between aggressive window washers and extortionist "naranjitas"

These types of incidents are not isolated: they are part of a scenario that repeats every day at Córdoba's street corners. In addition to the violence among window washers, there is the constant presence of "naranjitas" who demand money for parking on public roads.

Both phenomena reflect the abandonment by Passerini throughout the city of Córdoba, generating insecurity and helplessness among residents and drivers.
