A World Bank report released this Wednesday in Washington placed Argentina as the main exception in a complex regional context, projecting at least two years of sustained growth thanks to the reforms of the Government of Javier Milei.
The document highlights that, while Latin America and the Caribbean are facing difficulties, the country is showing strong economic growth, with projections above average.
According to the report, the region will grow overall by 2.1% during 2026, a figure lower than the 2.5% recorded the previous year and which was described as “insufficient” to generate significant improvements. In this scenario, Argentine performance appears as a striking contrast.

The agency points out that, after years of economic crisis, Argentina, under the Government of Javier Milei, shows clear signs
of recovery.Within this framework, it projects a growth in Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of 3.6% for 2026 and 3.7% for 2027, ranking above other relevant economies in the region.
