The enormous victory of La Libertad Avanza, the party of Argentine president Javier Milei, in the legislative elections on Sunday, October 26, triggered a series of greetings from international leaders, who celebrated the result and the support of Argentines for the government's reform program.
La Libertad Avanza reached approximately 40.6% of the national vote, according to official data. This represents a significant leap for the ruling bloc, which now has a larger base to advance its parliamentary agenda. By contrast, all Peronist forces only reached 31.7% of the votes.
In this context, numerous right-wing leaders around the world publicly joined in recognizing Milei's victory.

Notable congratulations
United States President Donald Trump, a key figure in the run-up to the Argentine elections, issued a congratulatory message in which he stated that Milei had achieved a "great victory," and that he had US support for his reforms. In addition, the Republican leader stated that "he not only won, but he won by a lot."
Meanwhile, Giorgia Meloni, the Italian Prime Minister, posted on her X account an image with Milei accompanied by the message: "Congratulations, my friend!" This personal congratulation to the Argentine president comes in the context of the ideological affinity between both governments.
