Xbox has confirmed that it will hold its first showcase of 2026 in January. The news was revealed by a senior Microsoft executive in an interview with Variety.

The confirmation came from Matt Booty, head of Microsoft Studios, in a conversation with Variety. There, he made it clear that the volume of projects in development exceeds the usual.
"This year we have more things than we can fit into a single Dev Direct", Booty explained. The statement raised expectations for a strong continuation of Xbox's catalog in 2026.
