XXL weekend: when and why are the upcoming holidays in June 2025

Two holidays fall in the same week in June, leaving only three working days

June  arrives with good news for those who are looking forward to some rest: there will be two long weekends in just one week. This is due to the combination of two national holidays that fall on strategic days.

These will be ideal days for a getaway, to disconnect, or simply to enjoy some free time at home. The best part: there will be only three working days between both breaks.

What are the holidays in June 2025?

The first holiday will be on Monday, June 16, for the Anniversary of the Death of General Martín Miguel de Güemes. This date is originally commemorated on the 17th, but it was moved to Monday to create a long weekend.

Then, Friday, June 20 will also be a holiday for the Anniversary of the Death of General Manuel Belgrano. Since it falls on a Friday, it will create another long weekend.

Full calendar: only 3 working days in the week

  • Saturday, June 14 and Sunday, June 15: regular weekend.
  • Monday, June 16: holiday moved for Güemes.
  • Tuesday, June 17 to Thursday, June 19: working days.
  • Friday, June 20: holiday for Belgrano.
