In recent hours,Mauro Icardisubmitted a formal statement to the court as part of the request for the international return of his minor daughters.
The document, presented by Angie Balbiani on Puro Show (El Trece), is titled "material and emotional abandonment of the girls, obstruction and prevention of contact." In it, the footballer stated that Wanda Naraused their daughters "as objects of negotiation and revenge."

He also claimed that the businesswoman traveled to Europe, leaving the girls in the care of "a stranger with reports of violence." In that same document, his attorneys expressed concern about Nara's "questionable cognitive state", citing her behavior on social media.
Icardi also accused her of manipulating their daughters, "implanting the idea that their father abandoned them" and "instilling guilt" for maintaining a relationship with him."

Wanda Nara's response was swift. Through Instagram, she lashed out at Icardi for trying to cast doubt on her role as a mother.

"You have to be a real son of a bitch, knowing that the mother of your daughters has leukemia and is constantly monitored and medicated, to try to suggest that she might have used some substance," she wrote furiously.
She categorically denied any substance use: "I've never used anything, not before and certainly not now." She also accused the footballer of trying to take custody of their daughters for selfish reasons: "You do it only to take them to live with you, when they've already said a thousand times they don't even want to see you."

She also reported that Icardi was not fulfilling his legal obligations: "You haven't paid child support or health insurance for 10 months," she concluded.
As proof of her health condition, Wanda published screenshots of her conversations with a doctor from Fundaleu, where she was treated for leukemia.
In the chats, she appeared distressed about her five children. "I'm very distressed about my children," she wrote, while the specialist tried to reassure her. The images included medical tests, procedures, and details of her treatment.

Finally, she ended her statement with a categorical phrase: "I'm tired of you always accusing me of something new since I left you and of your lies to fulfill your threat."
What will happen with the custody of the daughters
According to the program Puro Show, the family court judge is expected to solve the conflict before the end of the year. The decision could determine whether the girls remain in Argentina under Wanda Nara's care or if they will have to move to Türkiye to live with their father, Mauro Icardi.
