In recent hours, a serious complaint involving three Alianza Lima players came to light, among them the former Boca defender Carlos Zambrano. A 22-year-old Argentine woman accused the footballers of sexual abuse with carnal access before the Buenos Aires justice system, although the alleged events took place on January 18 at the Hyatt Hotel in Montevideo, during the Peruvian team's stay in Uruguay as part of the Río de la Plata Series.
In addition to the former Xeneize, Miguel Trauco and Sergio Peña Flores, both members of the squad of the Lima side, were implicated. According to the young woman's testimony, she was invited to the hotel by Zambrano and attended accompanied by a friend. In that context, after sharing alcoholic beverages in one of the rooms, she was allegedly sexually assaulted by the three footballers.

The complainant maintained that the emotional impact of the episode prevented her from filing a complaint immediately in Uruguay. Once back in Argentina, she sought medical assistance at different health centers, including Clínica San Juan de Dios in San Isidro, and later at Hospital Muñiz, where on January 21 she formalized the decision to initiate criminal proceedings. From that filing, the protocols established for this type of crime were activated.
The case was assigned to the National Criminal and Correctional Court No. 14, presided over by Judge Rabbione, who ordered the opening of proceedings under the classification of sexual abuse with carnal access. Among the first measures, the court ordered the intervention of the Sexual Violence Crimes Division, the seizure of the clothing provided by the victim for DNA testing, and the collection of the medical records from the hospitals where she was treated.
