#YoVotoLLA was the number one trending topic on X during the Buenos Aires elections

The trend driven by La Libertad Avanza dominated social media as the election unfolded

Since President Javier Milei's campaign closing event in Moreno, the hashtag #YoVotoLLA has dominated social media, remaining a national trend, even reaching a global level and ranking among the most discussed topics day after day.

The initiative, driven by the libertarian activist known as Gordo Dan, reflects La Libertad Avanza's digital power, which managed to mobilize thousands of followers with a highly effective digital communication strategy, combining political messages with a strong presence on social media.

Faced with the success of #YoVotoLLA, Kirchnerism tried to counter it with a parallel campaign under the hashtag #YoVotoFuerzaPatria, supported by bots and paid accounts. However, the initiative was a failure, with little impact, and quickly disappeared from the conversation on social media, showing the superiority of La Libertad Avanza's organic and coordinated mobilization in the digital world.

Currently, #YoVotoLLA remains the number 1 trend in Argentina, accumulating more than 143,000 tweets. This leadership on social media coincides with the development of the elections in Buenos Aires Province, where millions of citizens went to the polls to elect local authorities and provincial legislators.

The elections in Buenos Aires Province

Buenos Aires Province is experiencing a key electoral day this Sunday, September 7, in which more than 14 million Buenos Aires residents are called to the polls to renew part of the Legislature and the municipal deliberative councils.

This is a historic vote, since for the first time since 2003 it is being held separately from the national calendar, making these elections a true political barometer ahead of the legislative elections on October 26.

Since 8 a.m., polling stations began receiving voters in an atmosphere of anticipation that affects both the citizenry and the political leadership. At stake are 46 seats for provincial deputies and 23 for provincial senators, in addition to the composition of municipal councils and school board members, positions that will determine the balance of power in the province led by the disastrous ultra-Kirchnerist governor Axel Kicillof.
