The oil company YPF has launched the new Upstream Operations RTIC, a modern control room that will allow real-time monitoring and operation of its oil and gas fields. The inauguration was led by the company's president and CEO, Horacio Marín, together with the governor of Neuquén, Rolando Figueroa, and the mayor, Mariano Gaido.
This is the fifth center of its kind in the company, but with the distinction of being the largest, with an area of 400 square meters (4,306 square feet). The initiative reinforces the goal of consolidating YPF as the world's best unconventional development company.
Technology and real-time control
The control room is equipped with 54 workstations and a team of 129 professionals who operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. From there, more than 2,000 wells, 100 facilities, 290 trucks, 8 pulling rigs, and an electric demand exceeding 90 MW are supervised.

In addition, the system processes more than 1.5 million variables in real time, supported by images from more than 150 cameras deployed in the fields. A key innovation is connectivity through Starlink antennas, which enables the connection of more than 300 field resources in remote areas.
