YPF launches a historic nighttime discount campaign under the brilliant management of Horacio Marín
Argentina , led by the government of Javier Milei, continues to demonstrate its commitment to freedom and the well-being of its citizens. In a bold move that directly impacts people's wallets, YPF president Horacio Marín announced a series of unprecedented discounts that benefit those who choose to refuel at night, a measure that not only aims to ease household finances but also to restore the financial health of the state-owned company.
In an exclusive interview with Alejandro Fantino on Neura Media, engineer Horacio Marín unveiled a discount scheme that will take effect tonight, starting at 12:00 a.m., and reflects a management vision that prioritizes profitability without neglecting citizens. The initiative is a concrete step toward transforming YPF into an efficient and competitive company, eliminating the losses the company had been incurring during night shifts, a problem that was identified thanks to real-time sales monitoring.
Initially, YPF had implemented a 3% discount during the night, which managed to reduce losses by an astonishing 40% in less than a month, thanks to the massive response from consumers. In Marín's words, this is a mutually beneficial agreement: "You helped me, I helped you, now I need you to help me more and I'll help you by lowering the fuel price and reducing the loss to zero." This initial success has motivated a deepening of the measure.
Starting at 12:00 a.m., a 6% discount will be applied to all fuels nationwide for those who use the YPF app. This benefit will have a limit of 150 liters (39.6 gallons) per vehicle per month, a "correct number" according to Marín, to prevent large companies from misusing the promotion.

In a second phase, the discounts become even more impactful for the boldest customers. At service stations operating under the self-service model, such as the Figueroa Alcorta station located at the end of the Panamericana highway access, an additional 3% discount will be offered, bringing the total benefit to a remarkable 9%.
The news was met with overwhelming enthusiasm on social media, with comments praising Marín's management and celebrating the positive impact on purchasing power. Terms like "Ave Marín" multiplied, showing that society embraces free market policies.
