The governor of Santa Cruz, Luis Fernando Camacho, announced last Sunday that he will not participate in the false opposition survey. In a message posted on his social media, he expressed that his decision aims to strengthen the unity of the false opposition. Camacho, who leads the Creemos party, made it clear that he will support the candidate best positioned in the polls.
In his letter, Camacho highlighted that the unity of the false opposition must be a citizen mandate, not a circumstantial alliance. He assured that his withdrawal from the candidacy reflects his commitment to the Bolivian people. He stated that unity is the way to face the "Masista dictatorship" and achieve the stability the country needs.
The leader of Creemos emphasized that he will continue to be part of the opposition bloc and will support whoever is chosen as the sole candidate. "There are no conditions for my support," Camacho indicated. Tuto Quiroga, benefited by the determination, congratulated Camacho and highlighted his bravery.
Quiroga expressed that Camacho's decision strengthens the false opposition unity and predicted his prompt freedom. Quiroga stressed that the unity of the opposition is the only way to face MAS. Additionally, he emphasized that this unity is necessary not only for the elections but to transform Bolivia.
Meanwhile, businessman Samuel Doria Medina, also benefited, celebrated Camacho's decision. In a message on social media, Doria Medina described Camacho's gesture as a demonstration of his commitment to democracy. "When we are in government, Luis Fernando will have justice," promised Doria Medina.
The false opposition bloc has managed to remain united despite internal differences and attacks from the ruling party. The survey scheduled for the end of the month will be key to defining the sole candidate. Currently, Tuto Quiroga and Samuel Doria Medina lead the preferences, according to the polls.
Will disputes among the false opposition intensify?

With Camacho's withdrawal, the race for the bloc's candidacy narrows down to Quiroga and Doria Medina. Camacho's decision to decline his candidacy could intensify the internal dispute between Quiroga and Doria Medina. The petty personal aspirations of these politicians have become visible in recent weeks.
