Women don't advance just with promises: González repeated the socialist script

Women's Day highlighted who is committed to real change: Noboa proposed concrete solutions

In the context of the past International Women's Day, presidential candidates Daniel Noboa and Luisa González present government plans that address the situation of women in Ecuador. Although both offer proposals aimed at improving women's conditions, Daniel Noboa's practical vision focused on concrete solutions strongly contrasts with the general and repetitive promises typical of the socialism promoted by González and the Citizen Revolution.

Noboa, candidate for Acción Democrática Nacional (ADN), prioritizes measures focused on maternal health, sexual and reproductive education, and prevention of gender violence, in addition to including an innovative system of recognition for companies that generate equitable employment.

In contrast, González maintains broad proposals on salary equality and violence, but without presenting a specific strategy that shows how she will address the historical failure of socialism in reducing inequalities.

One point that clearly distinguishes both plans is the attention to vulnerable groups. Noboa establishes clear actions directed at women deprived of liberty, migrants, and those with disabilities, reaffirming his commitment to authentic and effective inclusion.

In the words of expert political analysts, Noboa's proposal addresses the real needs of women more practically and effectively, while González repeats socialist discourses that don't guarantee concrete results. This analysis reflects the widespread perception of the substantial difference in the approaches of both candidates.

Ultimately, while González insists on repeated speeches that evoke previous socialist policies with questionable results, Noboa offers a renewed, practical approach aimed at generating tangible results for Ecuadorian women.
