Daniel Noboa's government faced climate emergencies with an immediate response

Intense rainfall in several provinces of the country triggered a series of emergencies that were addressed promptly by the National Government. While President Daniel Noboa was on a key international tour in China, Spain, and Italy, his cabinet was activated within the country to coordinate assistance and supervise the damage.

The Executive highlighted that ministerial presence in affected areas is already underway, with concrete actions such as damage assessment, delivery of humanitarian aid, and inter-institutional coordination. Minister of Energy Inés Manzano reported from Spain that all involved ministers are being mobilized to the regions with the greatest impact.

The National Emergency Operations Committee is working on strategic measures, prioritizing the relocation of SOTE and OCP, systems essential to the national economy. Additionally, emergency power generation has been activated due to the impact on hydroelectric plants such as Coca Codo Sinclair.

Daniel Noboa concluded his international tour with investment commitments totaling USD 1 billion, focused on strengthening the energy sector and the country's resilience to future climate events. Although he concluded his official agenda on July 3, he will remain a few more days for personal matters.

Meanwhile, some state unions have expressed their discontent with recent reforms such as the Public Integrity Law. Nevertheless, the Government has defended the changes as part of an institutional modernization process necessary to ensure efficiency and transparency.

Daniel Noboa's administration has demonstrated the ability to respond to crises, deploying human and technical resources while strengthening international relations that will bring strategic investments. In the midst of adversity, the Government is maintaining its course toward a more prepared and resilient Ecuador.
