Ecuador promotes production and tourism as drivers of national development
With #ElNuevoEcuador, the Government strengthens the economy by promoting production and sustainable tourism
As part of its comprehensive development strategy, the National Government reaffirms its commitment to strengthening production and tourism as essential pillars of economic growth. Under the slogan #ElNuevoEcuador and the motto #NadaNosDetiene, public policies are being implemented that prioritize resources, actions, and regulatory frameworks to energize these strategic sectors and expand their impact nationwide.
National production has been identified as the heart of the Ecuadorian economy. From agriculture, fishing, and livestock to manufacturing and technology, the Executive is working to boost the country's productive capacity through tax incentives, access to financing, technical training, and improvement of logistics infrastructure. In addition, productive linkages between regions are being strengthened, with the goal of decentralizing development and reducing gaps. "Supporting Ecuadorian producers means supporting employment, innovation, and economic sovereignty", emphasized a spokesperson from the Ministry of Production. Trade fairs, business roundtables, and digital platforms that facilitate connections between producers and local and international markets are also being promoted.
Meanwhile, sustainable tourism is being strengthened as a source of income, a generator of employment, and a promoter of cultural identity. Ecuador showcases its natural, cultural, and heritage wealth to the world, promoting destinations with a responsible, inclusive, and resilient approach.

This vision seeks to energize local economies, especially in rural areas and historically marginalized communities, fostering a more equitable redistribution of the sector's benefits. The development of community tourism circuits, training for local guides and operators, and strengthening security at destinations are part of this comprehensive strategy.
Through international promotion campaigns, partnerships with the private sector, investment in tourism infrastructure, and digitalization of the offer, the Government aims to make the country a regional benchmark in regenerative tourism. "Tourism is not only beauty; it's employment, living culture, and sustainable development", stressed the Minister of Tourism. She also highlighted that the arrival of international visitors has increased in the last quarter, generating a direct impact on hospitality, gastronomy, handicrafts, and transportation.
The production-tourism duo is positioned as the axis of a modern, resilient, and people-centered economy. This synergy between the productive and the cultural allows for building a more competitive, fair, and sustainable Ecuador. Ecuador moves forward with determination, showing that the future is built with vision, action, and commitment. #NadaNosDetiene
