Daniel Noboa's inauguration brought together delegations from 57 countries
The event at the National Assembly attracted the largest international presence at a presidential inauguration
The inauguration ceremony of President Daniel Noboa, held on May 24, 2025, marked a diplomatic milestone for Ecuador. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, delegations from 57 countries and 18 international organizations attended, representing the largest foreign presence ever recorded at a swearing-in ceremony in the country.
Among the confirmed attendees was the U.S. Secretary of Health, Robert Kennedy Jr., and the South Korean Chief of Government Policy Coordination, Bang Ki-sun, within the framework of the entry into force of the Strategic Economic Cooperation Agreement between both countries. Canada also reaffirmed its bilateral commitment by sending the Minister of International Trade, Maninder Sidhu.
The activities began with a tedeum at the Quito Cathedral and an official cocktail the night before. Saturday included an offering at the summit of freedom, the event at the Assembly, and a lunch at the Carondelet Palace. The event commemorated not only the start of the 2025-2029 term but also the Ecuadorian republican spirit.

In the political arena, Noboa was reelected with 55.63% of the valid votes in the second round against Luisa González, the correísmo candidate, who did not acknowledge her defeat and alleged a supposed "fraud" without evidential support. This attitude once again highlights the weakness of the socialist discourse against a legitimate democratic project.
The international presence at this inauguration not only validates the geopolitical support for the new government but also strengthens Ecuador's strategic ties with developed economies. The active diplomacy of the Noboa government enhances the country's image at a key moment for its economic development and regional security.
The presidential inauguration of Daniel Noboa was not just a ceremonial act but a clear signal of international support for Ecuadorian leadership. The high participation of foreign delegations reaffirms the country's positioning in the region and the commitment to an agenda of cooperation and trade openness led by a pragmatic and modern center-right vision.
