The ADN assembly member warned that the former president lost touch with reality after the failure of Correísmo
The assembly member of Acción Democrática Nacional (ADN), Juan José Reyes, was interviewed by journalist Javier Negre, where he highlighted the transformative leadership of President Daniel Noboa and the importance of his management based on transparency and efficiency. Reyes recounted his transition from the private sector to politics, emphasizing that his decision was driven by the need to support a real project for change in the country. He underscored the immediate commitment of Noboa's government in the face of natural disasters like the recent earthquake in Esmeraldas, contrasting with the corruption that characterized socialist administrations during past emergencies. During the interview, they addressed the reasons for the resounding electoral victory, including the defense of dollarization and the strong opposition to narco-terrorism. Reyes explained that socialist proposals like the creation of the "ecuadolar" and the so-called "peace managers" caused widespread public rejection, mainly among the elderly who remembered the abuses of the Correa decade. Additionally, Reyes explained that transparency was key: cases such as attempts at manipulation in the Superintendency of Banks and the Citizen Participation Council were exposed. He also highlighted the crucial role of the optional vote of the elderly and the impact of international leaders like Isabel Díaz Ayuso, whose support helped strengthen Noboa's backing in Spain. Finally, Reyes described President Noboa as a perfectionist, executive, and results-oriented leader, highlighting his ability to build efficient teams that seek the well-being of the 18 million Ecuadorians. With a political structure based on transparency and commitment, Daniel Noboa and his team represent a historic opportunity to leave behind the corrupt socialist model and build an Ecuador of opportunities.
