President Noboa defended the popular referendum as a path to the future

The president stated that the decision in November will determine whether Ecuador moves forward or falls behind

President Daniel Noboa defended the popular referendum scheduled for November 30, 2025. From Daule, in Guayas province, he stated that the process will allow citizens to choose between remaining in the past or building a better future.

Noboa explained that his administration is working to improve the lives of Ecuadorians, while others seek to keep everything unchanged. Although he did not directly mention any political group, he alluded to sectors that resist reforms and modernization.

In his speech, the president stated that "bad news will always fill newspapers and newscasts". For this reason, he called for reaching communities directly with actions and results that strengthen trust in his administration.

The event in Daule also served to deliver a care center for minors, as part of an investment plan of USD 113 million in child care. Noboa emphasized that these actions respond to long-term social commitments.

The president stressed that his administration has citizen support and invited them to "write the history of the new Ecuador together." This way, he distanced himself from accusations by correísmo regarding alleged electoral fraud in 2025, based on the use of transferable ink.

Meanwhile, the spokesperson for the Executive, Carolina Jaramillo, confirmed that the Government is considering sending new questions to the Constitutional Court. She questioned the fact that the body is disconnected from citizens' priorities, such as security and the fight against child malnutrition.

So far, the Court has validated proposals on hourly employment contracts in the tourism sector and the reduction of assembly members. However, it has rejected initiatives such as the political trial of judges, the elimination of the CPCCS, and the reopening of casinos in five-star hotels.

In conclusion, Noboa's defense of the popular referendum reinforces his strategy of change in the face of a questioned political system. With citizen support and proposals aimed at structural reforms, the Government seeks to project stability and a future for the country.
