The President of the United States, Donald Trump, announced this Sunday the “Freedom Project”, a mission in which the US military will begin to guide ships from other nations safely out of the Strait of Hormuz starting Monday
.
Trump said that the mission is aimed at a humanitarian effort to help innocent people, companies and countries suffering from the closure of the maritime crossing caused by the Iranian regime. At the same time, the president expressed doubts about a 14-point peace plan proposed by Iran in the last few hours.
“Countries around the world, almost all of which are not involved in the Middle East dispute that is unfolding so visibly and violently in plain view of everyone, have asked the United States if we could help free their ships, which are blocked in the Strait of Hormuz for something they have absolutely nothing to do with. They are simply neutral and innocent observers! “, commented Trump on his social network Truth Social.
“For the sake of Iran, the Middle East and the United States, we have told these countries that we will guide their ships safely out of these restricted waterways so that they can continue their business freely and capably,” he added.

Trump's warning
In his post, Trump clarified that the ships that will be escorted belong to “areas of the world that are in no way involved with what is currently happening
in the Middle East.”
“I have instructed my representatives to inform them that we will do our best to get their ships and crews safely out of the Strait. In all cases, they've said they won't return until the area is safe for browsing and everything else. This process, Project Freedom, will begin Monday morning, Middle Eastern time,” the president said.
“I am fully aware that my representatives are having very positive conversations with the country of Iran, and that these talks could lead to something very positive for everyone. The movement of ships only aims to liberate people, companies and countries that have done absolutely nothing wrong; they are victims of circumstances. This is a humanitarian gesture on behalf of the United States, the countries of the Middle East but, in particular, of the country of Iran,” the presidential statement continues.
“Many of these ships are running out of food and everything necessary for large scale crews to remain on board in a healthy and sanitary manner,” added the Republican magnate.
Trump closed his message by warning the Iranian regime if it interferes with its humanitarian process. “If, in any way, this humanitarian process is interfered with, that interference, unfortunately, will have to be confronted with
force.” Freedom Project: Trump announced that the US will guarantee safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz by escorting ships
