Former FBI director and former special prosecutor Robert Mueller died at 81, his family confirmed Saturday in a statement released on social networks. “It is with deep sadness that we share the news that Bob passed away last night. His family asks that their privacy be respected at this time,” they
said.
So far, the cause of death has not been officially reported, although it was known that Mueller suffered from Parkinson's disease, a condition that had affected his health status in recent years.
During his first term, Trump was accused by Mueller of being involved in alleged Russian interference in the 2016 elections
Appointed to lead the investigation, Mueller led a ridiculous investigation that lasted almost two years and marked much of Trump's first term.
