The President of the United States, Donald Trump, withdrew from a meeting in the White House Situation Room without making a final decision on a potential peace agreement with Iran, according to the New York Times.
A senior government official confessed to the newspaper that the meeting lasted two hours and ended without reaching a final determination. "The administration believes it is close to an agreement, but there are still certain issues under debate, including the unfreezing of funds for the Iranians," says the Times report.
Last Saturday, Trump announced that a framework agreement had been negotiated to reach a “60-day memorandum of understanding with Iran, which included a 60-day truce, the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, the regime's renunciation of nuclear enrichment, and a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah.
Trump gathered his team in the Situation Room and a final decision on the peace agreement with Iran is awaited.

Iran agreed to extend the ceasefire and continue negotiations on its nuclear program, but Trump clarified in numerous statements that any agreement reached must be more favorable to the U.S. than the one negotiated by his predecessor Barack Obama in 2015.
“Iran must accept that it will never have a Nuclear Weapon or Bomb. The Strait of Hormuz must be opened immediately, without tolls, for unrestricted shipping traffic in both directions,” Trump commented this morning. "All underwater mines (bombs), if there are any, will be removed (we have removed, through detonation, numerous of these mines with our great minesweepers. Iran will complete the immediate removal and/or detonation of any remaining mines, which will not be many!)", he added.
The Strait of Hormuz must be reopened by the Iranian regime in any agreement scenario.
