Fox News reported this Thursday that the government of President Donald Trump has eliminated the Biden-era guidelines that ordered U.S. diplomats to promote the agenda of diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility policies abroad.
"Under the Trump administration, U.S. diplomats are tasked with defending our national interests on the world stage, not demonstrating adherence to woke political dogmas", stated State Department spokesperson Tommy Pigott.
The Biden regime required U.S. diplomats to "raise issues of social inclusion, racial and gender equity, disability, and LGBTQI+ rights with high-level interlocutors from host countries, especially in nations where these issues are problematic" as a condition for receiving financial assistance.
In January, the Trump administration issued a new document discarding the woke ideology of the diplomatic agency. The document specifies that all aid Washington promotes abroad must "align with the State Department's policies that oppose gender ideology, discriminatory equity ideology, illegal diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs, and abortion as a method of family planning abroad."
"Under previous administrations, U.S. foreign assistance was improperly used to fund discriminatory diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies and related views that promoted a divisive identity politics, rather than alleviating poverty or fostering development and prosperity", the text states.
The document also establishes that no entity receiving U.S. funds may use them to support the DEI agenda: "The purpose of this rule is to end taxpayer support for the radical ideology of discriminatory equity, directly or indirectly, and to eliminate all forms of discrimination related to DEI by foreign assistance recipients."
