The terrorists intend to rearm themselves to resume attacks against the Jewish state

The Israeli army (IDF) carried out airstrikes targeting Hezbollah facilities in the Lebanese city of Tyre.
According to a military statement, the target belonged to the so-called Construction Unit of the terrorist group, which is responsible for manufacturing and repairing equipment used to rebuild military infrastructure previously destroyed during the war.
"The site was used by Hezbollah terrorists for activities that constitute a direct violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon," the IDF statement said.
The attack, carried out in the south of the country, is part of a series of Israeli preventive actions aimed at preventing Hezbollah from regaining its operational capability and strengthening its military presence south of the Litani River, an area where UN resolutions prohibit the group's armed activity.
Hezbollah terrorists
According to the United States Department of the Treasury, the Construction Unit—also known as Jihad al-Binaa—is a key component of Hezbollah's military and industrial apparatus.
Although it presents itself as a civil organization, its true function is to develop and restore military infrastructure, including the tunnel systems used by the organization.
Israeli strategy to contain Hezbollah
The operation in Tyre is part of a broader Israeli campaign of intelligence and military pressure to prevent the Shiite group from rebuilding its weapons production and logistics networks, which were destroyed during the recent clashes.
According to military sources, Hezbollah has attempted to conceal its reconstruction efforts under civilian fronts, using engineering machinery and construction materials for military purposes, a practice that—according to Israel—directly endangers the Lebanese population.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz reiterated in recent days that his country "will not allow Hezbollah to reestablish an advanced military presence that threatens northern Israeli communities".
Regional tension
Meanwhile, Lebanese President Joseph Aoun instructed his army to "respond to any Israeli incursion" in the south of the country, following a border incident in which a municipal employee was killed.
The order reflects the growing tension between both parties, despite U.S. mediation efforts to maintain the ceasefire.
Israel, however, keeps that its actions are defensive and selective in nature, directed exclusively against terrorist infrastructure. "Each attack is based on precise intelligence," IDF sources explained, "and seeks to prevent Hezbollah from rebuilding capabilities that directly threaten Israel's security and regional stability."
