Sa'ar at the UN: 'Supporting a Palestinian state is sabotaging the release of hostages.'
The Israeli Foreign Minister accused countries supporting the 'two-state' solution of being functional to Hamas
Israel's Foreign Minister, Gideon Sa’ar, launched a harsh accusation at the United Nations headquarters against countries that continue to push for the creation of a Palestinian State.
In direct words, he held them responsible for "having directly killed the hostage agreement and the ceasefire".
"They gave Hamas free gifts. Let's be clear: these countries prolonged the war", Sa’ar stated, referring to recent international calls to advance a two-state solution, despite Hamas's refusal to release the Israeli captives in Gaza.
During his speech, Sa’ar also referred to the recent videos published by Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad, where the Israeli hostages Evyatar David and Rom Braslavsky appear in alarming medical conditions. "They are living skeletons... this is satanic", he described.

One of the most moving moments of the day was the testimony of Ilay David, Evyatar's older brother, who addressed the Security Council directly.
His speech was an urgent plea, filled with emotion and desperation.
"Evyatar is the kindest person I know. He's shy, but he's full of life. He has the soul of a musician," he began by saying.
Since his abduction at the Nova festival on October 7, 2023, "he has lived an unimaginable nightmare, and this is not a figure of speech," he warned.
According to recent medical reports, Evyatar weighs just 40 kilograms (88 pounds). "He's on the verge of death, and he may have only days to live," Ilay declared, revealing that his brother was forced to dig his own grave in a dark, filthy tunnel in Gaza. "His voice was barely recognizable. My brother was a living skeleton."
Ilay David also denounced the use of hunger as a weapon of war by Hamas. "The last video exposed another horrendous truth: the chubby, well-fed arm of the terrorist. Hamas confirmed what we knew months ago: the terrorists have food in abundance. The only ones who are starving to death in the tunnels are the hostages," he asserted.
"The time for deliberations is over. The lives of the hostages depend on immediate intervention," Ilay David told the members of the Council. "They haven't received a single gram of humanitarian aid since they were captured. This is a blatant violation of international law!"
Ilay concluded his speech with a call to the world's leaders: "Your silence is complicity. I beg you: don't let them die. Act now, before it's too late. Save Evyatar David. Bring my brother home."
