The two Palestinian terrorists who murdered the Israeli security guard in Gush Etzion were police officers of the Palestinian Authority.
They were identified as Mahmoud Youssef Abed (23 years old), from the town of Halhul, and Malek Ibrahim Salem (23 years old), from Nablus.
The murdered Israeli security guard was Shalev Zvuluny, a 22-year-old from Kiryat Arba.
The murderers arrived at the shopping center in a stolen car and stabbed Zvuluny. Then, they took his weapon and exchanged gunfire with a soldier and an armed civilian.
Fortunately, the Security Forces eliminated the terrorists.
Prime Minister Benjamín Netanyahu contacted the head of the Gush Etzion Regional Council after the tragedy.
"The prime minister praised the civilians and security forces who acted with great ingenuity and eliminated the terrorists, and said that terror in Judea and Samaria will not be allowed to raise its head," his office said in a statement.
