They publish videos of Hamas torturing Gazans themselves.

A series of videos appeared in which the terrorists beat, humiliate, and shoot Gaza residents

While the world debates the humanitarian situation in Gaza, Israel has once again exposed a reality that many prefer to ignore: Palestinian civilians themselves are victims of Hamas's ruthless violence.

This Monday, the Coordination of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) released a series of videos showing Hamas activists beating, humiliating, and shooting Gaza residents.

The images, harsh and explicit, reveal what Israel has warned for years: Hamas doesn't represent the Gazan population, it oppresses them.

The videos show men tied up, some blindfolded, being beaten with blunt objects, kicked, and shot.

COGAT's own chief, General Ghassan Alian, was blunt: "Hamas embodies the essence of evil. The terrorist organization oppresses the population, abuses civilians, and employs excessive violence to maintain its bloody rule. Hamas doesn't represent Gaza residents, it governs them with force, fear, and cruelty."

This isn't the first time Hamas has resorted to violence against its own people.

Since it seized power by force in 2007, displacing the Palestinian Authority, the Islamist group has brutally persecuted political opponents, especially members of Fatah (other terrorists, incidentally).

Hamas even distributes some of these videos on its own initiative, seeking to consolidate a climate of widespread fear that blocks any attempt at internal resistance.

The objective is clear: to maintain absolute control over the Gaza Strip at any human cost.

The reality is that much of the suffering in Gaza stems from Hamas's decision to put its power and arsenals ahead of the well-being of its population.

Every sack of flour, every box of medicine, and every liter of fuel is a bargaining chip in the hands of a regime that uses misery as a propaganda weapon against Israel.

After the October 7 massacre, the international community now largely recognizes Hamas as a terrorist organization.

However, there is still a certain indulgence toward its humanitarian claims, presented as if they were on behalf of the Palestinian people.

The videos released by Israel are a brutal reminder of the truth: Hamas doesn't protect Gazans, it subjugates them.
