The senator turned "women's" secretary, Citlalli Hernández, announced the creation of 678 "LIBRE" centers for women across the country, with an initial investment of more than 754 million pesos. According to the official narrative, these centers will provide legal, emotional, and community support, aiming to prevent gender violence.
But the figures contradict her: violence continues, victims don't receive justice, and the program only serves as a political showcase. They thought they could manipulate the figures without consequences, but reality caught up with them.
In 2024, there were reportedat least 797 homicides of women, although organizations warn that the real number could be double. In CDMX alone, there were 42 cases in nine months, in addition to thousands of reports of domestic violence and sexual assaults. Meanwhile, the government boasts fictitious achievements.
Rhetoric with resources, nonexistent results
The "LIBRE" centers promise comprehensive services, but in practice, they are bureaucratic spaces without real response capacity. Line 079 is part of the decor, not an effective tool.

Violence continues, the budget vanishes
Meanwhile, Citlalli organizes forums and conferences, real shelters for victims remain without budget.Homicides of women persist; prosecutors don't solve cases, and local authorities only replicate the discourse. But, in an election year, the 678 centers become campaign showcases.

Businessman Ricardo Salinas Pliego has been one of the few to publicly expose the hypocrisy of Citlalli Hernández. He has pointed her out for militating from privilege, for living off the public treasury while talking about "resistance," and for using legitimate causes as a narrative springboard.

When someone is right about something, it shows. Because in the 4T, violence against women isn't fought: it's capitalized on. It becomes a resource for speeches, a justification for public spending; raising the false flag of "economic sovereignty" for structures that don't benefit the victims.
The "LIBRE" centers don't empower anyone. They only shield those who promote them. Meanwhile, the country bleeds, they keep handing out brochures... and collecting salaries.
