Double Execution in Downtown Tlalnepantla Triggered Panic Among Businesspeople
Violence in Estado de México remains uncontrolled.
Two men were executed in front of the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Tlalnepantla during an ASECEM event.

The hitmen arrived in a gray van, got out armed, and shot at point-blank range on the hotel steps.
The attack was in the heart of the city, while businesspeople and judges were meeting, showing that even monitored areas aren't safe.

Businesspeople and Officials Trapped Amidst Violence
Inside the hotel, a business event was taking place with the presence of the President of the Judicial Power of Estado de México, Fernando Díaz Juárez, and the Mayor Raciel Pérez Cruz.
Upon hearing the gunshots, attendees were evacuated as chaos erupted at the entrance of the venue.
The event organizers were forced to suspend activities, while authorities attempted to control the crime scene.
This attack has caused outrage, as it exposes the lack of control over violence in the state.
Authorities Cordoned Off the Area, but No Arrests Made
Elements of the National Guard, state and municipal police arrived at the scene and cordoned off the crime area.
So far there are no arrests or information about the victims' identities.
The General Prosecutor's Office of Estado de México opened an investigation, but the chances of solving the crime are low.
State authorities have indicated that they will reinforce security in the area, but citizens continue to live in fear, given the total impunity with which criminal groups operate.
Estado de México Remains Engulfed in the Terror of Organized Crime
Homicides, extortions, and armed attacks have skyrocketed in Estado de México, without security strategies managing to curb the wave of violence.
The execution in front of the Crowne Plaza Hotel is not an isolated incident, but a sign of the collapse of security in the state.
Meanwhile, politicians keep promising to improve security, the reality is that organized crime continues to impose its law in Estado de México.
Citizens live in constant anxiety, as the message from criminals is clear: no one is safe, not even in the most crowded places or official events.
