Gifting nationalities: Russian TikToker received the Mexican passport as a gift
The influencer named Lubasha thanked President Claudia Sheinbaum for giving her the Mexican passport.
Users on social media have debated in recent days the gift that President Sheinbaum gave to a Russian TikToker.
On February 11, it was reported about the request from the Russian TikToker Lubasha. The influencer asked, through a viral video on TikTok, President Claudia Sheinbaum for her Mexican nationality.
Almost a month after that request, the leader kept her word and the influencer happily shared that she is now officially a Mexican citizen. Thus, without an exam and by request on a TikTok.

In a new video posted on her TikTok account, Lubasha excitedly showed the document that accredits her as Mexican. She sent a message of gratitude to the president and the people of Mexico for having 'supported her in her dream'
With evident pride, the content creator also sent a message to those who mocked her request. She has stated that she feels fully Mexican and that she will honor her new nationality.
Her message caused a wave of reactions on social media from internet users. There are those who congratulated her and highlighted her love for the country, as well as those who demand a more rigorous process to become Mexican.

In the public opinion, the story of the young influencer has resonated; she has gained supporters and some usual critics.
While some users celebrate her love for Mexico and her desire to fully integrate into the country's culture, others believe that granting nationality to foreigners should be a more strict process.
The influencer was detained in Tijuana due to a misunderstanding
Lubasha recently revealed that, upon debuting her new residency document, she had a bad experience with migration agents at Tijuana airport.
According to her account, when passing through control filters, she was asked for her passport. She presented her residency documentation, but the migration agents doubted its authenticity. For this reason, she was detained for an extended period.

During her detention, the agents told her that they had recently deported Venezuelan citizens for presenting false documents.
Although the young Russian finally managed to prove the authenticity of her documentation and was able to continue her journey, the experience was unpleasant.
The truth is that the story of Lubasha continues to be talked about on social media. Her journey to become a Mexican citizen has been closely followed by thousands of internet users.
