They massacred seven people and left six injured in a cemetery in Apaseo el Grande.
An armed group stormed the cemetery of the San José Agua Azul community in Apaseo el Grande, Guanajuato.
A brutal attack in the middle of the cemetery
A group of people was working on the construction of a tomb in the San José Agua Azul cemetery when they were attacked by armed individuals without warning.
The commando arrived with long guns and fired at point-blank range.

Among the victims was a woman and a 10-year-old boy, who was injured and was rushed to a hospital.
The authorities took a long time to arrive, as usual, allowing the hitmen to escape without much trouble.

The attack occurred around 5:00 PM on March 6, while the victims were resting after working on the construction of the tomb.
The strikers fled without a trace
Witnesses stated that at least six armed men arrived in a gray van.
The assailants fired repeatedly and then fled in the same vehicle, without any patrol crossing their path.
The authorities found an abandoned van near the scene, with tactical equipment, tire-puncturing spikes, and AK-47 rifle magazines, but no arrests.
Despite the deployment of the police and the National Guard, the strikers managed to escape, showing that in Guanajuato operations arrive late.
The victims' families were left in shock, not understanding how they can't even be safe in a cemetery.
Violence in Guanajuato doesn't relent and the authorities remain ornamental
Investigations pointed out that the tomb being built was intended for the father of a violence generator linked to the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG).
Guanajuato has become one of the most violent states, with constant clashes between the CJNG and the Santa Rosa de Lima Cartel.
Homicides, kidnappings, and extortions continue to rise, while the government limits itself to reacting when the massacre has already occurred.
The security strategy is conspicuously absent, and the only constant is that criminals keep winning the war without anyone stopping them.
The inhabitants of Apaseo el Grande live in fear, knowing that another massacre could happen at any moment.
The authorities investigated without results and impunity remains
Despite the magnitude of the attack, the authorities did not report any arrests or progress in the investigation, as if they were accustomed to these events being part of the "normality."
The state police and the National Guard reinforced their presence in the area, as if late patrols were going to stop the cartels that have been controlling the state for years.
The victims' families demanded justice, but the case was added to the long list of unsolved massacres in the country.
Meanwhile, the community of San José Agua Azul continues to live in fear, knowing that in Guanajuato bullets rule.
