América Rangel: 'hoy No Circula Is a Farce That Benefits No One'
The PAN representative pointed out that this measure promoted by the CDMX governments is useless and brings no benefits.
Yesterday, the deputy América Rangel showcased on her social media how the "hoy no circula" program harms the chilangos.
Mentioning that this is yet another scam by the leftist governments that have historically governed in CDMX.

"The left that claims to fight for the poor is the same left that tells the chilangos they must buy an electric car to get to work every day. The 'hoy no circula' is a farce that benefits no one and does affect those who have the least."
She also added that all the cars in CDMX could stop circulating and there would still be an environmental contingency.
In summary, the "hoy no circula" is just a revenue tool that solves nothing.

What is the "hoy no circula"?
An agreement that establishes measures to limit the circulation of motor vehicles in the suburban municipalities of the State of Mexico in the Metropolitan Area of the Valley of Mexico (ZMVM).
"Hoy no circula was made to control and reduce air pollution and atmospheric environmental contingencies."

Impacts for CDMX drivers
Do you know how much the fine is if you drive when you're not supposed to? Check and protect your wallet.
According to the Article 47 of the Current Traffic Regulations of CDMX, motor vehicle drivers must comply with environmental programs and not drive on those days.

Those who fail to comply will be sanctioned with a fine equivalent to 20, 25, or 30 times the current Unit of Measurement and Update (UMA).
- 20 UMAS, 2,262.8 pesos
- 25 UMAS, 2,828.5 pesos
- 30 UMAS, 3,394.2 pesos
The real problem
Beyond limiting the mobility of the chilangos with useless programs like this, the solution would be to tackle the main problem at its root as the deputy says. This would consist of the CFE stopping the burning of fuel oil at the Tula thermoelectric plant, which causes it to emit about 80% sulfur.
Which would mean a reduction in the environmental pollution experienced daily by the inhabitants of the Metropolitan Area of the Valley of Mexico.
