The accusations regarding the electoral financing of Óscar Andrade, senator from Frente Amplio and member of the Communist Party (PCU), are not stopping.
The Social Housing Fund for Construction Workers (FOSVOC), managed by Sunca, is under investigation by the prosecutor's office for the embezzlement of approximately 1,200,000 dollars between February and November 2024, through unauthorized transfers to third-party accounts.
Three former union leaders from Sunca and PCU activists, Santiago Bernaola, Bruno Bertolio, and Víctor Rivero, convicted of crimes such as embezzlement, fraud, and criminal association, testified before the prosecutor's office that both Óscar Andrade and Representative Daniel Diverio, also from PCU, had full knowledge of these fraudulent maneuvers.

Illicit funds
They stated that part of the stolen funds was used to finance the PCU's electoral campaigns, including the 2024 internal and national elections, the 2025 departmental and municipal elections, and the campaign for the plebiscite on social security promoted by PIT-CNT in October 2024.
Criminal prosecutor Gilberto Rodríguez, in charge of the case, confirmed that there are solid indications that part of the money was allocated to PCU and Sunca, illegally.
Andrade and Diverio will almost certainly be summoned to testify as defendants for an "administrative statement," without the initial need to request that parliamentary immunity be lifted.
More accusations against Andrade
This Thursday, June 26, Búsqueda reported that the communist senator received another accusation from one of the convicted individuals.
This individual was part of Sunca and was an activist in PCU, and knows the legislator very well.
It is alleged that he used the workers' money to finance his electoral campaign ahead of the October 2024 elections, where he was running for a Senate seat.
As is known, he was reelected to the position through the Communist Party's list 1001.
