Argentina/12 channel launched '1111', a program in defense of Cristina Kirchner that adopts the aesthetics and tone of the former 6, 7, 8

The channel Argentina/12, headed by union leader Víctor Santa María, premiered the show "1111" in its prime time slot. Kirchnerism is returning to the militant format on TV, explicitly referring to the historic 6,7,8 on Public TV during the Kirchner years.
Hosted by Federica Pais, the show seeks to reactivate grassroots activism with special reports, in-studio debates, and direct criticism of political leaders and "hegemonic media".

The name of the show alludes to the number of the street San José 1111, in Constitución. At that address former president Cristina Fernández de Kirchner is under house arrest for corruption.

The staging reproduces the structure of the old ultra-K cycle: an announcer who introduces the reports, rotating panelists, and a markedly opinionated tone. Patricio Rey plays in the background, while images of demonstrations in front of the former president's home are projected, with activists making the "V" for victory.

Among the reports aired were headlines such as "What's behind the persecution of "Chiqui" Tapia?". In that segment the show defended the AFA President — who is under investigation for money laundering — and targeted Clarín and La Nación. The show also aired "The heist of soccer for the few," with archive footage of the launch of the Fútbol Para Todos program in 2009.
Another segment was devoted to questioning statements by former president Mauricio Macri, while a clock ran on screen with the caption "CFK political prisoner", counting the time of the convicted politician's detention.
The show airs Monday through Friday, from 9:30 p.m. to 11 p.m., with a panel made up of five commentators who rotate. Participants include, among others, Matías Castañeda, Juana Politizada, Yamil Milanesio, Úrsula Vargues, Daniel Rosso, Roberto Caballero, David Cufré, Raúl Dellatorre, and Luis Bruschtein. Former 6,7,8 panelists such as Cynthia García and Nora Veiras are also part of the show.

One of the guests was sports journalist Elio Rossi, who argued that the "persecution" of Tapia was due to the fact that "AFA stood its ground". These statements were in line with the defense put forward by the show.
The lowest-rated channel in the rankings
Argentina/12 is currently the news channel with the lowest average ratings, with 0.11 points in 2025 according to Kantar Ibope Media data. It ranks below TN (2.40), C5N (1.91), A24 (1.21), LN+ (1.08), Crónica (1.05), and Canal 26 (0.51).
The channel was relaunched last November under the name Argentina/12, seeking synergy with other Grupo Octubre outlets, such as Página/12, Canal 9, and AM750. In fact, Página/12's digital portal added a window to watch the channel's programming live.

The channel had gone through a period of crisis after the split with businessman Ariel García Furfaro. The owner of the HBL Pharma Group laboratory was under judicial investigation for the deaths of 111 people linked to contaminated fentanyl. After the businessman's departure, Grupo Octubre regained full control of the channel and moved forward with its relaunch.
In that context, Víctor Hugo Morales also joined, and he hosts his own segment. The ultra-Kirchnerist journalist was introduced as one of the channel's central figures.
Santa María's media expansion
Víctor Santa María, Secretary General of SUTERH and a CGT leader, has consolidated one of the most important multimedia groups aligned with Kirchnerism. In 2016 he acquired Página/12 and in 2020 he bought 90% of Canal 9 and FM Aspen. He later expanded his presence in radio, advertising, and content production.
With "1111," Grupo Octubre is adding a new political product that seeks to recreate the communication logic of the classic Kirchnerist era. The show is emerging in a context of internal disputes within Peronism and a reconfiguration of the media landscape.
