5G Satellite Internet: This is the service that will compete with Starlink in Argentina
Omnispace arrives in Argentina with hybrid 5G satellite Internet and becomes a direct competitor to Starlink
Connectivity in rural and remote areas has always been a challenge in the country. Now, a new player wants to change the rules.
Omnispace Argentina arrives with satellite Internet that combines terrestrial mobile networks and 5G technology, posing direct competition to Starlink, owned by Elon Musk.

What is Omnispace and how does it work?
Omnispace is a U.S. company headquartered in Washington, DC, specializing in integrated satellite and mobile networks. Its proposal is based on a constellation of LEO satellites in the 3GPP n256 band, designed to work alongside terrestrial 5G networks.
This combination enables continuous coverage and low latency, even in adverse weather conditions or in areas without infrastructure.
Authorization to operate in Argentina
The National Communications Entity (Enacom) granted it the license to provide ICT services throughout the country. It will be able to offer fixed or mobile Internet, national and international, with or without its own infrastructure.

Services and advantages
- Broadband satellite Internet for homes and businesses.
- Direct satellite mobile telephony without external antennas.
- Connectivity for Internet of Things (IoT) in sectors such as transportation, defense, and agriculture.
- Critical support for emergencies and areas without terrestrial networks.
