The governor of Mendoza, Alfredo Cornejo, reaffirmed his support for the Government after meeting with the Secretary General of the Presidency, Karina Milei, at the Casa Rosada.
The meeting consolidated a “joint agenda” between the allied provinces and the administration of Javier Milei, at a key moment for the implementation of economic reforms.
Support for the Government's economic direction
During his participation in the AmCham Summit 2026, Cornejo was clear. He defended the continuity of the economic program
.“We don't have to change the course of the macroeconomy,” he said. He also stressed that maintaining stability is essential for growth.
The support of the governor of Mendoza is added to that of other leaders who accompany the reforms promoted by the national government.
Tax Reform and Structural Changes

Cornejo raised the need to advance comprehensive fiscal reform. He proposed simplifying the tax system and eliminating distortive taxes
.In addition, he asked to review the co-participation scheme. The objective is to generate real incentives for the private sector.
These proposals are aligned with the structural reform agenda promoted by the Government.
