The Government of Javier Milei once again denied with official data the complaints made by the authorities of the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) about an alleged lack of funding in the health area, when it published the details of the transfers made during the first months of 2026.
The information was released by the Undersecretary of University Policy, Alejandro Álvarez, who pointed directly at university authorities for trying to install a narrative that does not correspond to reality.
“The politicians who control the UBA state, lightly, that 'they haven't received the corresponding health funds for four months'. We understand that, for them, lying is normal,” the official wrote in his X account, where he also attached the documentation supporting the shipments made by the Ministry of
Human Capital.
The transfers made
The published tables show that, month by month, the UBA received specific items under the so-called “Function 1 - Health”, both in terms of personnel and operating expenses
.In all cases, January, February, March and April of 2026, there are transfers of $1,597,476,930 for teaching staff related to health, along with another $66,561,538 corresponding to non-teaching staff in the same area.
