A special prosecutor and a grand jury have been convened to investigate the mortgage fraud cases surrounding two Democratic figures: Adam Schiff and Letitia James
The Department of Justice convened a grand jury to investigate New York Attorney General Democrat Letitia James for having violated President Trump's constitutional rights.
The investigation, which is in its early stages, is being conducted in New York, with James's office having received court subpoenas this week requiring the Democrat attorney general to appear to testify in the coming days.
The convening of a grand jury is the first step in a criminal investigation that could lead to a formal indictment. The jury will examine the evidence and determine whether there is sufficient cause to bring charges against James. This process may last weeks or even months.
The architects of the judicial persecution against Trump will be investigated.
Meanwhile, alongside the work of the grand jury, Attorney General Pam Bondi has appointed a special prosecutor to investigate the mortgage fraud allegations surrounding James and Democrat Senator for the state of California, Adam Schiff.
Prosecutor Ed Martin, who investigated the judicial persecution Trump suffered during Biden's administration, will be in charge of the mortgage fraud investigations concerning the opponents James and Schiff.
A grand jury based in Virginia will investigate the allegations involving James, while a grand jury based in Maryland will do the same regarding the fraudulent activities committed by Schiff.
Letitia James defrauded the federal government.
In April, the Federal Housing Finance Agency asked Attorney General Pam Bondi to investigate James for mortgage fraud after presenting her with documents proving this activity. The Department of Justice opened a separate investigation into the matter and ordered that a grand jury be convened in order to formally indict James.
James, who was elected New York Attorney General in 2018, and Schiff, a career politician and member of the Democrat establishment who became a senator last year, were the architects of the judicial persecution against Trump when the former president was Biden's opponent.
The New York prosecutor's office falsely accused Trump of real estate fraud and even brought civil charges of commercial fraud against him in 2022. Ironically, the one who appears to have falsified real estate records related to her properties in Virginia and New York to obtain better refinancing terms is James.
