Meanwhile, alongside the work of the grand jury, Attorney General Pam Bondi has appointed a special prosecutor to investigate the mortgage fraud allegations surrounding James and Democrat Senator for the state of California, Adam Schiff.
Prosecutor Ed Martin, who investigated the judicial persecution Trump suffered during Biden's administration, will be in charge of the mortgage fraud investigations concerning the opponents James and Schiff.
A grand jury based in Virginia will investigate the allegations involving James, while a grand jury based in Maryland will do the same regarding the fraudulent activities committed by Schiff.

In April, the Federal Housing Finance Agency asked Attorney General Pam Bondi to investigate James for mortgage fraud after presenting her with documents proving this activity.
